IMPROVE-FMR
IMPROVE-FMR: Improving mitral repair for functional mitral regurgitation
Clinical trial identifier: NCT03366649

Principal Investigator: Muralidhar Padala PhD
Physician collaborator: Robert A. Guyton MD, Michael Halkos MD

Observational study to investigate the durability of undersizing mitral annuloplasty in repair of functional mitral regurgitation, and the extent of reverse remodeling of the left ventricle

Patient specific computational modeling of the mitral valve prolapse and its repair

Repair strategies for mitral valve prolapse are several, all of which aim to reduce mitral regurgitation, but not all may be durable. We are using image guided computational modeling of the mitral valve prolapse and its repairs, to optimize strategies for valve repair in this condition.
